Frequently Asked Questions

What if I need to cancel my order?

We are happy to cancel your order as long as we are notified before it has shipped.  Contact bianca@xayari.com as soon as possible regarding your cancellation.

Why won't you ship to my state?

We would love to ship every plant to every state, but many states have restrictions on which plants can be shipped from out of state.  Some states also have extremely rigorous compliance and regulatory requirements for growers that can make it difficult for small nurseries to ship to those areas.

We fully support these requirements!  States want to protect their unique ecosystems by making sure that no foreign insects, invasive plant species, or plant diseases enter their states by accident and spread.  If you live in an area to which we do not ship, we're happy to try to help you find another provider that can meet your needs.  It's all about helping you reach your #gardengoals!

Should I plant as soon as I receive my order?

For plants that do not arrive dormant (plants that are actively growing), you should give your plants a chance to recover from the journey and acclimate to your environment before planting.  Give them a good watering and keep them in a sheltered area out of extreme temperatures for a few days. With this bit of TLC, they should perk up and be ready to plant out!

Why did my plant arrive bareroot?  I thought it would come in a container.

Plants generally ship bareroot.  This saves on space and weight to keep shipping costs down and save you money.  Bareroot plants can be "heeled in" until you have time to plant them.

What is a quart size plant?  How big is this?

"Quart" size means the plants are in a pot that is ~ 4.75" wide.  The plant and pot together are 12 - 14" tall.  This is a good size for shipping since the plants are established but not too heavy and large.
